Over five weeks, I acted like a museum curator to find the best and most representative pieces to create a collection in Wakelet based on the weekly Marketing Rebellion chapters and workbook. In this collection, you will find an element related to each chapter of the book, video, article, etc. I learned a lot from this book as it tells us about the facets of marketing and why consumers have rebelled against it. It invites us to apply more personal and human marketing, which goes hand in hand with what I've learned in the HubSpot academy courses.

Some of the skills I obtained from this project include identifying and analyzing marketing examples, recording and explaining my project in a video format, and proper use of the Wakelet platform. I also improved my skills in summarizing and extracting the essential ideas of the book to transmit my point of view.

I created a complete mobile marketing plan for Walmart.

In this project, you will find the following sections:
  • Overview of the company: Mission, Vision, Company Marketing Objectives.
  • Marketing strategies: Current Strategies, Recommended Strategies, Evaluation of Strategies.
  • Search strategy: Target Customer, Target Keywords, Negative Keywords, Other Targeted Factors.
  • Appendix: Search Ad Visual.

Creating this project was so interesting. Not only did I have to investigate in-depth one of the most important companies in the world, but I was also able to contribute to its marketing plan as if I worked for it.

Therefore, I identified Walmart's target customers and analyzed its marketing strategies such as geofencing, pay per click, keywords in the different engines, its social media strategy and the approach they use in each one to keep its audience loyal. Additionally, I added recommendations of marketing strategies that I think they could use to expand their audience further.

Furthermore, I gave some examples of its negative words and created some headlines and descriptions for its ads.

I created a Display ad planning sheet for a Valentine's Day campaign that I called "I appreciate you." My main goal was to raise mobile app awareness amongst the target audience during Valentine's Day season. I had fun coming up with every detail, and I also learned a lot along the way.

In order to develop this project, I needed a lot of creativity, brainstorming, planning, and, of course, knowledge of who the target market is. In the process, I had to put myself in the consumer's shoes to create a need that could be satisfied in the best way, with low prices and good quality. That's why I created a campaign for those who forget Valentine's Day and have to buy gifts at the last minute. Based on this, I created ad groups, headlines, and descriptions of the display ads to finally design an image version and video version of my ads. I was mindful of respecting the company's branding. It was a very enriching project in which I practiced my knowledge of display and video advertising.
