HubSpot Inbound

The HubSpot Inbound course was very enriching. I love that it teaches us how to see marketing from the human side and the emphasis on helping the customer. It teaches us that if we put our customers as a priority, the profits and company growth will come. Two of the terms that stand out the most for me were: Buyer personas and the flywheel analogy.
Buyer personas are semi-fictional representations of a company's ideal customer based on accurate data and some educated speculation. I think it's an excellent strategy to have a closer relationship with customers and put ourselves in their shoes, allowing the entire team to provide the best customer service experience.
On the other hand, I liked that they changed the funnel for a flywheel to talk about a company. But at the same time, they managed to use the funnel analogy to represent the effectiveness of different processes within the company.
It was a course that I enjoyed, and I would like to take more courses like this in the future, focused on people and how to apply it to today's companies.
Google Analytics

These courses allowed me to grow in knowledge about meeting goals on a website successfully. It also helps us measure the traffic of our website and thus make the best decisions to increase its effectiveness.

The concepts I'll mention caught my attention since they allow us to be more efficient in the decision-making process on our website, an essential skill in today's world.

-
How many people visit your website: Google Analytics has tools to view the number of visitors, visits by page, visits by date, and visits by hour.

-
How do people find your website: In the Acquisition section, you will find all the possible ways where your traffic comes from.

-
Who is visiting your website: I found this tool very interesting because it is excellent to know if your website attracts your target market or if you should change it. Google Analytics allows you to obtain reports of the people who visit your website in the following categories: demographics, interests, geography, devices, and browsers.

-
What people do on your website: Google Analytics has various metrics to see what people do once they are on your website. Some of these metrics are Bounce rate, the number of visitors who arrive at your web page but do not have any other interaction with it, and average session duration, which is the average time your visitors spend on your website. Lastly, pages/session is the number of pages a person visits on your website before leaving.
HubSpot Email Marketing

I believe the biggest takeaway from this course is the importance of building trust and providing value to every person you send an email to. There are many ways to build trust: allowing your customers to unsubscribe and always getting permission before sending an email are two keys to achieving this.

Additionally, I've learned essential topics like how to build an effective email marketing strategy considering the importance of bringing content and context together so that you write the most incredible emails and develop a relationship with your customer.

Finally, sending the right email at the right time to the right person means knowing who that person is and where they are in their buying journey; that is why having a segmentation strategy is critical.

The topics mentioned above are some of the many that I learned with this course. I like the teaching method and I feel that it is valuable information for everyone who wants to learn about email marketing.
Google Display Ads

Some of the valuable concepts I learned include what Google Display Ads are and why it is beneficial for a company's marketing, display campaign types, and the criteria to consider choosing the appropriate type. In addition, I learned the targeting options available in a Google Display Ads campaign and how to select the best option for achieving marketing objectives.

A topic that, in my opinion, is quite complex is setting the correct bid. In this course, I learned how to choose the right bidding strategy according to the company's marketing goals.

I also learned the different ad formats you can create for your Google Display Ads campaign and how to choose between display, responsive, and uploaded ads according to the message you want to deliver to the audience.

Finally, I learned how and why I should use Google Performance Planner in order to maximize the results from the Google Ads investment and help maximize your performance.
HubSpot Social Media

It is crucial to have a social media strategy because it will expand other marketing efforts, build brand awareness, and attract buyers. Additionally, it is essential to have social media, and it is also vital to have social listening and monitoring tools. These tools can be channel-specific or, in some cases, can aggregate networks to help you listen to and monitor them all in one place.

Furthermore, a social media strategy allows a company to have one-to-one relationships. You can build and grow your brand, improve your reputation, and answer questions that many prospects and customers might have. It helps you provide additional value to your audience, amplify your reach, and increase customer loyalty. Social media advertising can drive leads and sales for your business. The great part is that each social media advertising platform comes with a robust ads manager where you can monitor how your ads are attributed to revenue for your business, no matter how small or big.
HubSpot Content Marketing

They got my full attention from the beginning when they said, "Your goal is to make a human connection. It’s about resonating with people, people that need your help or guidance." Human connection sounds easy since we are social beings, but in real life, in a globalized world, and considering the number of distractions that we have every day, it is not an easy task. According to Hubspot, a story is necessary to achieve that connection, but not just any. You need a story with the right context and create contrast by being consistent, authentic, and conversational to elicit emotion from a specific audience.

It all sounds incredible, but I wondered, what if I am not as creative as I would like to be? How am I going to create content without ideas? As if reading my mind, the course has a section called "Generating Content Ideas," which emphasizes the importance of having a process as your defense against writer's block. According to James Webb Young, the ideation process consists of four steps, gathering new material, digesting the material, unconscious processing, and the eureka moment.
